ATTENDEES: Members and Guests
VENUE: Zoom Call.
AGENDA:
You are invited to join us next Tuesday for an open discussion on ways to reduce trash collection fees, water use, etc..
For example, do you pass on to each tenant/unit a monthly utility charge?
What is required, and what is possible?
GARBAGE SERVICES
How does your provider of trash and recycling services figure charges?
Marin Sanitary Services and Novato Sanitary District determine rates by the size and number of cart/bin loads destined for landfill.
Mill Valley Refuse Service charges apartments a minimum of one 32-gallon bin per unit.
Rates are presented to and approved by town councils or the Marin BOS for each service area, e.g.:

MVRS is presently soliciting respective governing bodies for approval of rate increases in 2021/22.
